Denik Collaboration: Art can change the world!

Hello everyone! I’m excited to share more today about my recent collaboration with Denik! Denik is a notebook & stationary company that gives a portion of sales to fund education projects worldwide. They help build schools, support artists & make a positive impact on our lovely world.

Here’s why I decided to do this collaboration with Denik:

The humble notebook can become so much more than a notebook & that’s because of Denik’s vision: “As a community of artists, we design products that fund education projects worldwide”. They have already built two schools in Ghana & one in Guatemala, Laos & Mali!

Denik believe that “Art can change the world” & I fully agree. The impact that art & design can have is something that I discuss with my own Make it in Design students & coaching clients all the time, so I’m thrilled to be working with Denik to support their global vision & spread this creative awareness.

The designs:

Geo Flowers:

The motifs for my ‘Geo Flowers’ design were created by whilst I was in Havana, Cuba & the final design is inspired by my trip, particularly the coral!

Dotty Delavayi:

My design ‘Dotty Delavayi’ was created after I visited a friends garden & I was taken back by the striking silhouette on the beautiful delicate flower. I used the plant as a starting point but applied my signature abstract & unique twist.

Butterfly Dance:

The motif in my ‘Butterfly Dance’ design was also originally hand-drawn whilst in I was Cinque Terre & I feel like colourfully painted buildings can be seen in the colours I’ve used.

Cinque Terre Bloom:

This bloom design came from a trip I made to Cinque Terre, Italy, & the inspiration I captured there can be seen in the stone grey background, which is paired with pops of colour, echoing the beautiful, colourful buildings of Cinque Terre.

I love the amazing message inside the notebook cover: “We hope this item becomes your creative accomplice because the world needs your creativity” – how lovely!?
