From The Archive – Flutterby Lines

Hi everybody! Every Tuesday here on the blog we want to start sharing designs deep from within the Rachael Taylor archive.

Today we wanted to share a little fluttery inspiration with our ‘Flutterby Lines’ design from within the archive. For this piece Rachael was very much influenced by a museum display of butterflies in the way she has lined up the butterflies but she has still kept energy within the design by rotating the winged creatures in multiple directions. Rachael’s signature textured layering adds another dimension to the design as well as the use of bright turquoises & limes.

You can follow the studio on Instagram & Twitter for behind the scenes looks into the studio.
