Last week I attended a press day for the #snowflaketrail organised by the lovely people at Open Culture. You can read my announcement post about this wonderful design commission & take a look at how I got started getting my design ideas together here.
The press day saw the local newspapers & tv stations popping in to interview us & take photos of our snowflakes along with some group shots. On the day prior I was asked if I would like to take part in a live interview with BBC Radio Merseyside & I just thought why not! It was actually really fun to do & the broadcast journalist Kat Boyden was so lovely, friendly & welcoming which made me feel a lot less nervous. You can listen to the full interview with myself, Open Culture, Bid Liverpool & fellow artist Peter Bennett from Elabora Homewares here (the feature starts around 1.23.00). The event has also been covered by the Liverpool Echo & The Guide Liverpool if you want to find out more.
As my snowflake is mainly decorated with a vinyl application I had only my base colour to show on the press day but I was lucky enough to receive lots of lovely images from photographer Matt Thomas from the Liverpool Echo. Below is a selection of images from the day.
Look out for my next Snowflake diaries instalment as I take you through my vinyl application process! You can also follow me on Instagram / Twitter / Facebook & follow #snowflaketrail for more behind the scenes.
