Happy Hobbies – Colouring!

Hello everyone!

We hope everybody has enjoyed the lovely autumnal weekend. The outdoors is as lovely & filled with colour as ever & we can definitely tell that Halloween is on its way

As you lovely readers know, we love colour inspiration here in the Rachael Taylor Studio & we like to look for it wherever we can. While browsing a few bits & bobs online this weekend, we came across a really big trend involving colour that we were eager to share: grown-up colouring books & pages! While it might seem that colouring is for kids, tons of working people from all over are proving otherwise! We’ve been catching up on why this trend is growing so quickly, the benefits it has on creative & non-creative folk alike, & just how positive it can be.

We’ve only just tapped into the new adult colouring trend, but we’re already really excited about it. Tons of great doctors & therapists have begun to promote the benefits of colouring for adults & they say it’s a fabulous way to de-stress, promote emotional / mental wellbeing & feel happy after a long day. With such rewarding benefits, it’s no wonder it has taken off so quickly! We’ve even found  a few fab books that have really been popular with the recent colouring community & we think they are absolutely wonderful.

Really, what’s not to love about a quick & easy way to be creatively expressive (especially with a hectic lifestyle)? If you’re finding yourself a bit drained & foggy at the end of your work day, why not try colouring? & if that’s not quite your thing, how about trying out some doodles? Rachael’s 20 Ways to Draw A Doodle book is a fab way to get started!

We’re hoping you’re as excited as we are about this fab new idea. So sit back, relax & get out your colouring books!
