Seasonal Garden Inspiration

Costa del Liverpool! Summer really is the best season for my garden as the flowers have exploded all around my garden studio & the brick wall / bird box village area at the back. It’s all growing so beautifully & there’s so much colour everywhere. I especially love the pink Echinacea & the vibrant yellow Rudbeckia.

I sit outside sometimes with my laptop doing some work tasks & I love how the garden feels so different across the seasons & during different times of the day. In the below image it feels a little Autumnal with the fairy lights twinkling, & after a rainfall there’s a nice feeling in the air. I saved these 2 Acer trees as the landscapers were battling with me to remove them but I’m so glad I did! They really set the scene & this corner feels a little Japanese to me & with the lovely scents along with the rain coming down it’s just bliss & has totally chilled me out.

The back section under the bird boxes is a bit busy but other than that I’m amazed that I’ve managed to keep all this alive & growing this pretty! Only 18 months ago the garden was an unsafe jungle with collapsing trees, brambles, crazy ivy & there were even car parts buried. Learning every day…

I can’t believe I’m going to be working one day a week at the gardens at Arley Hall soon, I’m so spontaneous & random but gardening is the new gym & it’s how I relax & keep fit. Plus when your someone who draws plants a lot for a living it’s just heavenly.
