Rachael Taylor’s Talk at New Designers 2017!

Hello Everyone!

As many of you know, Rachael Taylor is not just a surface pattern designer, colour enthusiast & home stylist – she’s also a successful entrepreneur who co-founded our sister company, Make it in Design. Each year, the MIID team set off to London to exhibit at New Designers, an amazing show dedicated to showcasing the latest talent & trends in the industry. We are so excited to share that on Thursday June 29, 2017, Rachael will join an impressive speaker line-up at ND!

Rachael will be joining The Design Trust’s Start Up Day which is a full, information-packed speaker event for recent design & craft graduates during the first week of New Designers which runs from 10.30am – 5.00pm. The Design Trust have invited some very successful creatives & experts to take the stage who will each be sharing their trade secrets with you (read on to download the full programme!)

Rachael will be holding a 45 minute presentation called “How to Become a Professional Surface Pattern Designer” starting at 11am. Come along to hear Rachael talk about what it REALLY takes to make it in the surface pattern design industry while she also shares her top tips, practical advice & her story of how she has made it.


The Design Trust Start Up Day also features a number of other exciting presenters including; Sarah Hamilton of Just a card,William Miles Briffa & Co and Anti Copying in Design (ACID) , Andrew Tanner – Design Manager at Sainsbury’s & many more!
